1995 Corolla steering 'grind'

Hello, my sister-in-law's 1995 Corolla is making a 'baseball card in the spokes' clicking/grinding sound when she turns the wheel.

I have not heard this first hand but was wondering if you might be familiar with such a sound. Is this the pump failing? Or do you think it is more likely CV joints?

Well I do not know what the baseball card in the spokes mean, but my wheel bearing and hub caused my car to grind when i brake hard and when i make a right turn
It could also be the cv boots; check the cv rubber boot for any tears. If there is a tear, that means the grease is mose likely gone and the joint is dry and causing it to make noise when turning.

When the car is moving or stationary? Third-hand information makes it hard for us to help you. Report back when you have actually seen/head what the car is doing.

You never did that as a kid? Tons of fun.

After googleing it, i get it now. Never knew about that when i was a kid.
I do not think the baseball card thing can be a grinding noise.

sounds to me like probably a CV joint but does it do it turning in both directions or just one?

To check the cv boot, look at the rubber boot under the car on the axle. To check the wheel bearing, jack up your car and hold your hand at 12 and 6 o clock position and shake the wheel. Do the same but at 3 and 9 o clock position. Any movement means is bad.
