Suspension set-ups?

Hello TN long time no see. So lately I've been decided on what I want to upgrade my suspension to and I just wanted to start a thread on here to see what everyone is running for their suspension set-ups, and what experiences have you had with them. Moderately lowered, slammed, stanced, functional, anything goes.. But yeah, let's see what you got

Oh and post pics please!

Mines for now, ebay sleeves maxed out, stock (probably blown struts). Sits low but rides like

Dropped on Tein S-Tech Springs, stock struts. Handled pretty nice on these and rode okay.

Before it was dropped.. lol

I'm using Jamex springs with Monroe GT Reflex shocks. The stance is low, but not excessively low, and I'd give the ride comfort about a 7 out of 10.

^ Very true. I usually hate taking side-on shots of my car as it makes the spokes of my wheels appear thicker than they really are, but here's one I took on Monday:

Can't post photos at work, but I'm riding on KYB Excel-Gs and Lovells Low springs, the problem with our cars is that the wheel arches are so big that it is a tricky task to balance wheel-arch gap and ground clearance, even though I'm on Lows I still scrape my mudflaps on sharp speed-bumps

Blues, long-discontinued Eibach Pro-Kit, Kosei lightweight 17s, fender-rolled to preserve max suspension travel.

I can go on forestry trails (don't even ask) and handle speed bumps at speed with this setup. Ride is a bit harsh, not too bad (thank you, progressive springs!) but grip is unreal.

Sorry, no pics. I'm riding on Tokico struts with H&R springs, drops it 1.25". I would say it's 7 out of 10 (like kiwi-corolla said) for ride comfort. Feels mushy though, when you push the car on twisties.

I used Tein S-techs from the 8th gen paired with new KYB GR-2s. Night and day difference over stock interms of handling/cornering, comfort, and look. I didn't roll my fenders or anything and never had an issue (never had people in the back though). The ride was hard but not harsh. Very nice if you like to hug the road and have immediate feedback from the tires. 17" rims at 50 psi helped lol. The springs lower the front 0.5" more than the back for an aggressive stance and even wheel gap.

At home now, so can provide photos

Been tempted to go to Superlows to get the height just right, but SLs are designed more for looks rather than handling, so I'd lose a decent bit of performance compared to the Lows. Might consider coilovers next year if I feel like shelling out for a decent set.

That sounds like a recipe for a tire disaster! 50 psi is way over a passenger tires highest pressure at max load!

That depends on the tire. A lot of high performance tires can run those pressures without any problems.

exactly, my tires were great at 50 psi, never had an issue. It all depends on the tire. The skinny low pros like I had can have a higher psi. I run 50 in my IS300 now as well. I just can't stand the sidewall flex around the corners and instability at high speeds.
