Problem with steering wheel, how can I fix it?

Hi everybody! Only for general knowledge, how many of you has this problem with the 7th generation Corolla:

Mine has a uneven wear to the left, and everytime I drive the car, parts of the inner foam stay in my hand . And because of the age and sun, the foam detached from the inner steel structure, and the feeling is not of confidence every time I drove my car...how many of you has fixed this problem? There is a fix for this? I want to keep OEM, so bought a (Fast & Furious) steering wheel is beyond my taste...

Either get a steering wheel cover or head to the boneyard and find a wheel to replace it with.

Mine has detachments too but its not a problem. I have thought of using a syringe to inject glue to re-bond the cover to the wheel.

That is a good video showing the problem. However, I believe that is normal for it ot twist like that.

OK, I just went outside and checked mine, and the upper section twists just like that, but the bottom section is still solid. So I suppose it was all solid at one point. I never noticed it before though.

My geo was all solid, I think it's an issue that happens from being in the sun.
