93 corolla electrical problem

1. When I depress the brake pedal (light switch off), the dash, parking, and brake lights turn on.

2. The car won't start consistently. I replaced the clutch/nuetral ignition switch, added additional ground connections from the brake lights and it would start more 'regularly' for a week or so. All i get is the solenoid clicking. If i move the clutch in/out while the key is in the start postition i can occasionally get it to start.

Any ideas? Would it be a relay or something easy/inexpensive....don't want to throw too much money at it.

remove and clean your battery terminals. All kinds of silly stuff happens when the right amount of electricity cant get to where its needed.
