A little story, buy the car for 5 monthsa ago, the car was parked for three years without any maintenance, and decided to rescue him.
the interesting i drive from Chicago to Wisconsin, with the coolant completely black, I thought it was going to overheat but nothing happened, I said wow.
to open the hood, look at the Sparkplug wires, had a date of 1995, replace the sparkplugs, were completely burned.
so I started working on the car ......

WOW! for that thing to be parked for 3 years the paint is in great shape. hell, the entire car is in great shape. the interior is mint and im jealous cause i wanted the gray interior but had to settle for the tan. maybe ill get the leather interior =) i love it and keep up the good work!
nice find and nice job. She really looks good and am sure she's happy about all the work you have done to the engine. Looks like it's going to last another 200K because of what you have done to her.
Exedy is good. They have been the best quality I have seen out of a box, and driveability is excellent. I paid about $140 for mine.
The job is a bit harder than most since the engine mounts are on the transmission and not the block. If you havent already, change at least the front and rear mounts.
How did you clean the carbon build up on the manifold? Did you just use a toothbrush and sanded it? Kinda looked like it. Good job though...lucky to find a 5 speed too!

for small holes, you'll be surprised how many hidden coal between the holes
this afternoon, I tried to romote door panel, but big surprise
no screws,
I found the cars in the junk yard all had screws, but my car does not have them ..
i take one for auto trans
and de 2nd its my look like the previous owner cut
I know exactly what your going through. Haven't posted up my rebuild yet.
The exedy clutch works great and is very inexpensive. Amazon.com supplied that one.
I put in 5.25 speakers in the front and they didn't fit. Had to modify the plastic surround and the particle board surround so it would fit back over. The speaker wires were also soldered in place, ugh.
Car has an entirely new suspension front to back.
Your car can deliver about 31-2 mpg on average but that's all about your driving style.
