8th gen corolla radio fits in 7th gen corolla!

I am sure most or all know this, but the 8th gen corolla radio fits in the 7th gen corolla. I ended up changing it because the sound sounds better (no chatter or weird noise when turning the sound up) and the 8th gen one has a cd player option, while the 7th gen doesn't, (never found it online) even though i see the plug in back of the radio. I also want to keep it stock too.

I want to buy the cd player, and add it either in the glove compartment or just above the cup holder, but the problem is the wire on the cd player is not long enough. Anyone know how to resolve this problem or know where i can buy a cd player extension wire?

When you buy the OEM add on CD Player it should come with the wire that goes up to the radio. When I bought one for my wife's 98 Corolla it came like that and it wasn't too short. The problem now is the CD player always gets stuck now with the CD inside it after a month or 2, and I'd have to unhook/hook one of the battery terminals to get it out

Where did you install the cd player? Right below the radio? Because if you did i cannot because above my radio is the air vent and below is the temp control

Does the 8th gen radio have support for an AUX jack? Ironically the thing that'd keep me from upgrading to something with a CD player is I'd lose the tape deck that perpetually houses my cassette-1/8th miniplug adapter...

I have a headunit laying around with an aux jack, usb and SD card slot with the CD...prolly never gonna use it cause I hate changing stereos xD

Might get annoyed with not listening to music that I like though and throw it inlol

Its a walmart one that works surprisingly well

Can I assume this is a plug and play swap/upgrade? No wiring harness cut and splice?

Surprisingly (not really to me) the cd player and the mini storage box fits exactly with the bracket, no need to drill new holes or any mods or anything. Had to give up the big storage box with lid (from 98-02 corolla), but hey got to lose something to gain something else. If anyone wants to buy the big storage box with lid, pm me, i dont need it anymore.
