CIA - Aluminum or Plastic

i have a CIA and its aluminum but wouldnt PLASTIC be better cause ALUMINUM get way hotter?

suggestions, opinions.

I have a sri, but if its really a cai wouldnt the pipe stay cold retardless of plastic or aluminum? But you could do what I have seen and wrap your tube in dryer duct insulation.

Plastic might melt because of the engine temperatures.

Google up intake wrap.

Aluminum won't get any hotter than plastic(in fact, the wall temperature will probably be lower), but the plastic transfers heat more slowly, so the intake air's temperature rise will be lower than with an aluminum intake. That's partly why Iceman intakes are/were plastic.

Just go for alloy piping, you won't notice the difference unless you're generating serious heat with a monster turbo set-up or live in the middle of the desert.
