So I've done the research and I've decided not to dick around with the exhaust in order to get a 'factory' style gasket on there. I hear they are crap anyway. After my research I have determined I will be safe by pouring red gasket maker into the gasket groove on the downpipe, then installing it onto the 'cat' after it has cured a bit.
Gonna be rockin soon...

They are just the 'performance' headers. You don't get anything labeled 'OBX' for around $60!

I got the "performance" headers, and I am rather surprised they aren't total crap, the ones I got were from AMK Project racing, and are built fine.
And I just used the gaskets supplied and I don't leak anywhere.

What about the ring gasket that goes between the downpipe and cat?
I understand some people don't even bother, but I'm noid, so I'm going to at least use gasket maker.

Get that thing installed and please keep up on this thread. Very interested to hear how it works out, or doesn't
What exhaust are you mating up to it? Are you getting an entirely new catback?
None of that yet. Not sure if I wanna bother with full catback, may just get a performance muffler down the line. I actually might put a Super 44 on it, no joke.

Did u get the headers installed?
If so was it hard?
Any performance increase?
I'm thinking on buying buy if there is no performance increase I'll pass and save money.
installation is easy. i didnt notice any performance increase when i put mine on but i also mated it up with a 3" catback at the same time so maybe the loss of back pressure was the reason.
Right, I'm going to have no cat and a stock exhaust.
So I have the manifold part of the header on right now. It required a bit of drilling with a grinding stone tip to fix a problem with the placement of one of the bolts.
I have yet to hook up the rest of it, so I can't say how I've dealt with the cat gasket yet, but the old one came out in one piece.
The reason I haven't made any more progress in my install is the alternator is pissing me off. The adjustment bracket is a pain, and the bolt that holds the hole for screwing the bottom bolt is all loose and wiggly making it tougher to get that bolt in there.
