1993 Prizm Thermostat?
Both my wife and I are Prizm owners, which we have been told are both really Toyota Corolla's. Mine is a 2000 Chevy Prizm base model, and my wife's car is a 1993 Geo Prizm LSI 1.6. For the longest time, the temp gauge on her car has never climbed above cold until the engine has been run for a while during the day. I was told that it is probably the thermostat being stuck open, so I want to replace it. But when I priced thermostats at O'Reilly Auto, it gave me three choices:
170-179 Degree
180-189 Degree
190-199 Degree
Which one should I get? Is this determined by the weather of our area? We live in the very northwestern corner of Washington state, and our winters can drop below freezing, and get snowy and icy. Our summers typically last only about a month, and it almost never creeps over 90 degrees. Any suggestions?
