I need a DIY

Hello,

I am planning to change the transmission oil for the rolla.

I have never done it or seen how it is done. Basically I have no idea how to do it (noobster I know )

Can somebody tell me how? Or at least show me a picture of where it is?

I made research in the forum but I could not find a thread about it.

I promiss that if you help me I will post a write up!

Well, I went ahead and did it by myself (almost, I saw how it`s done)

First of all, we need to know which oil type we need for the car. According to the owner`s manual, 7AFE uses:
  • SAE 75W90
  • API GL-4 or GL-5
  • Around 2.7 quarts

So, I went to my racing car shop and bought the oil. I went to "Valverde Racing" in Costa Rica and a racing driver (Roy Valverde) recommended me the oil.

I took Red Line SuperLight ShockProof Geal oil 70W90. He told me that is a great oil for daily/occasionally races. I bought 3/4 qt`s.

With this done, I just needed to replace the oil. Since I was not sure how to do it, I just went to my nearest workshop. I advised them I did not know how to do it and without hesitation they showed me how to.

The main product:

All you need to do ”s unscrew this screw and verify the oil level/ oil quality. Also this is the screw where you put the new oil:

Then, just remove this screw and let the old oil drains out:

Make sure the old oil is completely drained. Now, put the screw back in and Voalį! Use a funner with a hose and add the new oil. (Put the other screw when finished)

So simple, at least you now know how to do it.

PURA VIDA!!
