Need 1993 Corolla Gear Box and Cable; Any Ideas

I have a 1993 Toyota Corolla - Engine: E-C 4-C 1.6L FI [A] 4A-FE. Due to my gear shift being stuck in park, my mechanic says I need a Shift Gear box (or was it gate box) and Cable.

Does anyone have an idea where I can get that?

Did you make sure its not the safety system keeping your lever in park?

Yes,

It's not the safety system. I took it to a mechanic. At first he said I need the gear box and cable but now he says I just need the shift cable for the 1993 Toyota Corolla. He said that Toyota wants $400 for a lousy cable. A piece of wire. Can you believe it?

I looked online and called a half-dozen places so far and no one has the shift cable for the 1993.

Somebody here must know a good place to get old parts.

Searched a few sites I know, nothing, I think there's a guy who runs a Toyota dealership, called like Toyota of Newman or something, if someone here can give you his contact he can usually get stuff in cheaper than other dealerships.
