93 prizm bad parking brake fix?

93 LSI Prizm

I accidentaly pul up on the parking brake while cleaning my car and brake light on. I pull the parking brake up and release it and the brake light stays on. no tension when I pullit back up.

Whats the most likely culprit? Did not see a broken cable lying on the ground.

Where do I look.......under car, by lever, in the brake drum?

Any help appreciated. Thanks!

Likely culprit? Rusted cable.

Sometimes you can bring them back to life with soaking and a lube but usually they are history and you'll need new ones.

Sounds like the cable is stuck internally.

I have all 3 cables, give me $60 and they're yours. I'm just south of Chicago if you want to come get them, bring cash. I also have some other Prizm parts as well...
