im going to lower my corolla and ive decided that im going with the Tein S springs but i dont know what struts i want. tokico or kyb gr-2's? also should i just get normal mounts? i really dont have the funds for tein or k sport mounts.
From what I have gathered Tokicos are better to go for if you can afford them. But GR2's are great for a stock replacement that pair well with the S-Techs. GR2's are also great for the money. Tokicos put you nice and low with some good springs.
But oddly enough I have both on my car o.O don't know what my brother was thinking haha. It seems the Tokicos have outlasted the GR2's, and all are paired with TRD springs, but I still need to have all my struts replaced, the Tokicos just look to be in better condition.
I have Tokicos on the Supra, also had GR2's on my old Corolla... basically depends on budget, but yeah the Tokicos are worth the money so far (even though I got a good deal on mine).
I have Tokico and S-techs on mine. It's a pretty nice ride...a little stiff but not too stiff. I wish the front was a little lower though to level it with the rear.

Not on this computer...check out the 7th gen pic thread. I've posted pics of it there plenty of times.
Of course not...is that even possible? The front springs have a wider diameter on the top compare to the rear which is also taller. You have to be a complete idiot to do that. It might be half an inch lower but the rear fender line is also lower compare to the front so in the end the car sags a little in my opinion. I do have a wagon though but still, it's only 21 pounds more than the sedan...which is basically the weight of a donut tire. If the front was 2.5 instead of 1.9 and the rear is 1.5 then it's perfect for me. Wish I had coilovers but it just didn't seem worth it to me for this car...maybe i I had an Impreza wagon though
Our cars don't have rear axles 21 pounds won't make the back sag even more...I think the stance is the same as the sedan and that I'm just being picky. I gotta find a pic of it and let you be the judge.
I second the Koni Yellow if you have the money. I'd get that and some Ground Control springs/sleeves so you can adjust the height...you're gonna have to find someone to help you install everything though unless you're comfortable enough to do it yourself. There's lots of instructions online to do it but it's for other cars.

i can handle it =) i dont usually do suspension work on imports and dont know the differences between different brand struts and junk. all my money goes into the chevelle lol
Both front and rear are McPherson struts so it should be a piece of cake compare to your Chevelle....If you go this route though you would have to cut the part where the springs rest on the strut I think to install the Ground Control sleeves. Don't know how to really explain it...I'm better off drawing a picture haha.
