so I f'd up... lol bought another Corolla, this time it's a 96 AE102
Current plans are to drive it through the winter, hopefully after putting it on the road... if it grows on me, future plans would involve not selling it in the summer, lol and maybe a 5spd conversion (yes it's automatic) and 20V swap (yes it's a 4AFE).
Picking it up in the next few days, more pics to come, couldn't pass it up as the interior was very clean and the exterior is not bad, only a few spots that need love.
^I've already been stalking your threads, lol... liking the headlights and bumper, let me figure out first if I'm even going to keep it after summer, I really wanted a 4Runner (Hilux surf on your end I think).
The right tires will let these things handle fine in up to 3" of snow, but uh, wouldn't the 4Runner be the winter car and the Corolla the summer . Lucky it's so clean too.

Nothing wrong with plain and boring... until you plainly get bored of 3 speeds, lol.
Finally picked her up today, first mod was to yank the three remaining hubcaps, lol... I was amazed at how well she drives, so smooth. I'm also surprised that it failed emmissions like the seller said, so I believe his story of the shop not warming up the car and doing the test with an empty tank, the car sat for a few months on an empty tank. My dad gave me a ride to pick it up and was stoked that it didn't smoke for a high mileage motor, he was used to his 94 7AFE Corolla sedan smoking all the time, lol.
