Australia Attention 7th gen geeks :P

Hi guys

I was on the net a while ago and came across two interesting pictures.

1) I noticed that on the USDM Corolla there were rear mounted air ducts/funnels to transfer A/C air to the back seat passengers. These funnels ran across the floor. Was this available in all markets or just the USDM?

2) Also by the way is this a genuine Toyota Air Purifier or is it aftermarket in the picture below? I believe it is fitted to a 7th gen rolla.

Thanks

The floor vents come out under the front seats, although they don't output much air or anything useful.

I thought that might have been the case.

The Air Purifier in the photo you posted is genuine but it's for the 8th Generation Corolla. I've sent one of those overseas in the past. I'll post a photo of it below. The 7th Gen Corollas had an Air Purifier like mine. I just so happen to have one for sale right now

Here's some photos of it:

And here's the 8th Gen one I sent overseas in the past:

I wouldn't mind that Air Purifier, it's probably one of the best accessories I've ever seen

Trust me, it is . I use mine all the time. The best part is that replacement filters are still able to be purchased. If you buy the one I'm selling your rear deck will look like this:

It's easily the best item, I would've loved it but I need to get some other parts delivered first.

But if you come across one in a months time, let me know I'll take it straight away

Thanks for that KIWI it will be cool to have the Air P unit when it comes although I have minor problem. I actually have no spare spot in the centre console to place the button/switch. I have two "spaces" free in my console the first is for the door lock button and the other is for a coin holder but it's non-removable - so I'll have to cut it out and remove it or I could buy a new console from a JDM rolla on ebay or someplace where I can get a cheap one with the pre-cut holes. I think I know where one is located right now for a cool price Otherwise I'll have to start cutting

Hmm, yeah the best option in that case would be to upgrade to a JDM centre console. I can get you one of those here if you like. Sent one overseas a little while ago. It has three spaces where you can put the switch, which will be perfect for you as you'll have one for the door lock button, one for the air purifier switch and one for the driving light switch

Here's a photo of the one I sent overseas:

That's the kind of centre console I need....
1) Because the living hinge on my current one is broken
2) Because I need somewhere to mount the switch for the FXGT foglights...

That centre console looks exactly the same as the one I need. I would be interested in buying one as i need the switch for the Air P unit and driving lights but that being said it's not a priority this month at least.

Although when you find one in good condition just let me know on price. It's not really a rare item in NZ I'm assuming, so definitely get one for HIRO first as he already has the fog lights

Im sure there everywhere in NZ There're probably all over ebay as well.

i have one like that, except it's from a levin i believe. *sigh* i never got it to fit though, it won't fit over the bracket at the end that's towards the back seats. and i can't just move the bracket, because then i'd have to move an electronic bit for the airbags too...
you guys overseas are so lucky.

My Corolla originally had factory box-type rear speakers as it's the SE Limited model. These were mounted on top of the rear deck, as opposed to in the rear deck. I removed the rear speakers shortly after I bought the car, but now have aftermarket 6.5" speakers installed.

Here's some more recent photos:
