Issue with a 96 4afe in a 93 corolla 4afe

Hello, i did a little searching and could not find and info on this. I picked up a 96 4afe to install into my 93 corolla which i was told would fit with no problems as long as i switched over most of my parts over from the old motor, which for the most part worked but i ran into one problem, the two intakes are different, the newer block has a opening for emmissions going to the intake manifold and my older intake does not. My question is has anyone ran into this problem before and has a solution? I dont know if there is a block out plate or anything out there. Thanks for any help!

That is the EGR recirculating back into the manifold. Simply just use your old manifold or you can block it.

My old manifold doesn't cover it , it's left open . I was looking for a premade plate but looks like I am going to make one or maybe find a expanding plug. thanks any one else use this block?
