Australia 7AFE Turbo

So ive decided to turbo my 7AFE, but am not sure which path to go down, either buy a kit for around $2700 which apparently has everything i will need. Or buy the parts seperatily. The thing is that im not 100% sure of all the parts i will need. The parts below are what i know i will need.

- Custom made exhaust manifold
- T25 or T28 I want one that will spool up reasonably quick ( 2000 - 2500 rpm)
- ECU - Greddy E-manage or is there a better/cheaper ECU i should use?
- Possibly bigger injectors, i'm not sure what i'll need here, heard supra injectors fit?
- Possibly bigger fuel pump (again not sure here?)
- Basic Boost Controller
- Front Mount Intercooler

I have found a few kits available on the net but am not sure of the quality/reliability, the kits are below.

http://www.redlinemotive.com/part-nu...es/tc25b1x.asp
http://www.turbokits.com/TSI_Extreme_Turbo_Kit/828/

The car will be running on STOCK internals, so i am not sure of the amount of boost i will be able to run. The turbo will be being installed by myself and a friend and i am yet to find a tuner that i wish to use.

Any info or suggestions are quite welcome, and any parts that i havent listed or that the kits dont include i would really like to know of so that when i am ready to start purchasing parts/kit i know what else i will need.

Thanks in advance, Zakk.

As a point worth considering, the factory 7AFTE in the AE112 Sportivo ran I think around 8psi on completely stock engine internals, was basically a TOMs/TRD-tuned ECU (which costs ~10k to get from Toyota), IHI turbo and associated piping on a stock 7A, only made 115kw though which doesn't exactly set the world on fire (and is still less than a 20V or 4AGZE).

Turbokits.com is fabricating a turbo kit for the 10th gen Corolla right now. I'm hoping that all of the kits for the prior Corolla gens will make this kit a prefect choice for my 10th gen.

i've also thought about boosting my 93 corolla for fun, but i have always wondered if it was a possibility to run a FMU + check valve the MAP sensor for low boost. can anyone chime in on this setup? would it even work?

I had pretty much ruled out an engine swap, because i just presumed it would be too hard.. but seeing that a 20V 4AGE should make more power stock, it makes sence to at least consider it. Are you able to tell me what exactily i would need for a swap? ie; new clutch or gearbox? anything like that? Or if just buying a rolla that came stock with a 4AGE would be easier?

DIY - How to forged and build a turbo 4a/7a motor

if you are going to keep stock internals no more then 6psi you will get about 160-170hp to the wheels . with that you will KILL 4ag and civic D,B & K motors all day.

Generally buying a complete car (or a halfcut) makes life a lot easier - that way you get engine+gearbox, driveshafts, brakes+suspension, and usually the ECU and loom as well.
