The terminals that connect to the battery on my car have corroded and I need to replace them. I disconnected them from the battery; the negative side fell apart upon removal. Im seeking some advice on the steps i need to take to replace them. Do I clip the wires? Use a hack saw?
I don't think I can pry the old clamps apart because it looks like they have fused due to the corrosion.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

I got it working. i just snipped the corroded terminal and clamped it with the new connector. cleaned it all up and its working now.

Those bolt on connectors arent very good and fail quickly. You also have internal corrosion in the wire that happens over the years. For best reliability you should replace the OEM wires with ones that have the ends already attached.
