Rolla wont start

Hey fellas quick question. Ive been having a little trouble starting my car. Before I would have to try maybe twice to start the car and it wouldnt be bad but its gotten progressively worse to where this morning it didnt start at all it just clicks. I dont think it could be the battery because its new. So im guessing faulty wiring maybe? or starter or solenoid from what ive heard. My friend has an 8th gen and the same thing was happening to him. He said that his dad fixed it and said it was the cylinder? but wasnt specific. Any suggestions?

Does your alternator work properly?

Try and jump start it, most of the time clicking means dead battery.
Get your alternator tested.

Tap starter with a hammer while someone turns key over, if it starts swap starter. Bad brushes.

CLICKS= good battery, good solenoid BUT bad contacts in the solenoid.

Common problem for the contacts to erode away over time until there is no metal left to make contact. If you are handy you can replace them, or you can buy a new solenoid.

The battery and alternator are good I checked em already. Ive noticed that whenever I press the gas pedal down when I turn the key the car starts up after the second try.
