Cv shaft replacement, Help

Hello everyone,

I need a some tips for my 1993 Corolla. My problem is the cv shaft on the driver side. Last year I changed the passenger side and it was easy to take out the shaft.
This year the ball joint pop out and it did damage to my drive shaft. I took everything out already but I can't take out the inner knucle . I used a pry bar but it is not coming out.
Is there any special tool for this. For the left side drive shaft, the shaft went in around 2 inches. For the right side, the shaft is flush and you can pry the shaft out in 5 minutes.
To get some ideas I went to HomeDepot. At the plumbing section, I saw a rubber hose coupling with 3" at one end and 2" at the end. I'm thinking of buying the rubber hose coupling and attach it to the knuckle. At the other end, I will attach it to a 2" pvc pipe with a lenght of 2'. I will drill a hole through the 2" pipe and make a T handle. I will use force to pull out the drive shaft knuckle. Thank you for all the tips.

if you cannot pop the cv axle off the trans then you can rent a slide hammer with a CV attachment at autozone. put the thing together and use the slide hammer to pop the CV out.

i used a large pickle fork and a hammer to get mine out, all i had to do was push the pickle fork up the inner cv joint with the handle angle pointing outwards, use the transaxle as a base and hit the handle inwards to pop the thing out..worked like a charm
