Sprint springs, tokico struts bottom out

Hey guys. I installed yesterday tokico blue struts pn my car because the stagg struts where crap. I bottom out also not as much as when i had the staggs on. I really am frustrated. I am asuming the springs are defective or cant handle weight. Can some one help? Has this happened to anyone before ?

Sprint springs are garbage. The spring rates are quite soft and they tend to sag once they get older so if they were rated at 2" brand new then chances are that they are lower than that now. Tokico HP's weren't really designed to be lowered excessively. 1.5" to 2" tops. Anything beyond that is asking for trouble.

Get some better springs, I think you'll solve your problems. Eibach, Tien, etc.

Megan stuff is chinese junk also. If you just want low and don't care how it rides or handles then get the lowest cheapest crappiest springs you can and stuff a bunch of rubber spring helpers in them to keep it from bottoming out. Of course you'll have basically solid suspension so actually you'll just be perpetually bottomed out in a way.

http://compare.ebay.com/like/3705625...=sbar&_lwgsi=y you just spin them between the coils to keep it from ever going all the way compressed and voila, you won't bottom out the strut.

If you want to slam your car as much as possible then either full coilovers from Tein, Cusco (K-Sport or D2 if you're on a budget) or a custom air ride suspension are your only choices. Ground controls max out at 2.5". Dunno if that is enough for you.

Yep, suspension parts from the 8th generation are interchangeable with the 7th generation.

S-Techs are a good choice if you don't want to sacrifice ride comfort.

Be sure to post pics of the setup once you get it and they are installed.

A word of warning though, there are quite a few seller out there selling counterfeit Tein springs.

Something for you to check out just to be safe:
