now i want to add an alarm
bought one on amazon and connected the unlock and lock wires to the other alarm.
but does not lock nor unlock the doors.

I'm sorry, I can't help you with your problem, however, I do have one question.

Did you follow the instructions that are in the official corolla DIY topic, or did you do it yourself? If you did, did you have to do any metal cutting or drilling?

The tutorial in the official DIY says that you have to cut a hole in the metal so that you can access the door lock rod, but I would like to know if it is necessary or not. The metal cutting part is the only thing stopping me from doing this mod. Any input would be appreciated.

Awwww....crap. What tool with you cut it with? I'm not really comfortable with cutting through metal, lol. I can do the wiring and taking the door apart just fine though...
