93 Corolla - Oil leak

Hello,
I have a 93 Corolla 1.8 L 7AFE engine. I have an oil leak that gets worse when I drive fast. If I drive the car at 70 mph for one hour it leaks oil much faster than if I am driving in the city at 50 mph.
A 3 hour drive at 70 mph will leak all the oil...
Any idea where the leak could be?
Thanks

You really ought to just wipe the engine clean and see where the oil shows up.
I would guess crankshaft oil seal at timing belt side, or camshaft oil seal.
Don't know about flywheel side crankshaft oil seal, but I would assume that if it leaked about 1l oil over 200 miles, your clutch would be full of oil and slip like there was no tomorrow.

YOU have to do the cleaning.
YOU have to do the looking.

There are dye kits and UV lights/glasses to help, but if your leak is THAT BAD you should be able to fins it easily.

Use autozone brand brake parts cleaner and go to town. Also when the car is parked, what area is it dripping from?

purple power and simple green work great for cleaning dirty engines. spray down the motor with the degreaser and let it sit for a couple minutes and then hose it down with the water hose avoiding the distributor, intake (if its cold air or a short ram), and the plug wires. repeat until its clean. then when its all dry, drive it around like you normally would and then look for the leak. good luck

No spots on the driveway at least not big ones...I took it to 2 mechanics before and both promised it was the valve cover gasket and charged me for that but it wasn't and I figured it would be worth my money to just fix it myself.

Really? Simple Green is enough? Well I have some at home so I won't need to buy a degreaser like Gunk?

I would cover the alternator with a plastic bag as well right?
Do I have to wrap the wires all the way till the valve cover?
Thanks

It appears the oil pump/timing bet side but I dont see a lot dripping when it is parked. I dont think it is burning oil either otherwise I would see a white smoke and it would smell burning oil. All I see is the tailpipe covered in thick black layer from the inside...
