Help routing wires through firewall/doors (Power lock install)

I've never really done anything like this in a car, though I felt adventurous so I decided to attempt the power door lock install. I got the first one in the front driver's side door today just fine, though I couldn't get the manual window crank off no matter how I tried a cloth or a flat head screwdriver and I didn't want to break the crank handle, so I just rotated the whole door panel so it was vertical and left space for me to install the actuator. (If anyone could give me tips regarding taking the crank off it would be much easier for the future doors)

Now I'm on the wiring step, but I've never done anything like this before. I've tried searching for guides on our car, but all I found out was that the firewall grommet next to the accelerator pedal would be the safest way to route the wires to the battery for power.

What I want to know is what exactly do I have to do? Do I just stick the wires through the grommet? Do I have to drill through it? Do I have to go under the car to be able to get the wire and then run it around the engine? I just want to know what the best way to do it is. I have NO idea. But I'm not afraid to try. I just don't want to drill or stick things into anywhere I shouldn't.
I'm also wondering how I should run the wire through the door. I already know how to get to the opening and everything, I just want to know if I can just force the wires through or if I have to take out the wire that's already in the door jamb grommet out first.

There is a white 6-8ga wire on top of fuse box in drivers kick panel. You can tie power to it with no issues, just add a fuse holder. You can use a 10mm bolt in lower kick panel for ground also.

Thanks! I was searching through the forum and most people were suggesting running wires through the space behind the wheel well panel. I'll try using the wire you're talking about as soon as I get up tomorrow.

Remember though, I don't know anything about electronics so I have no idea what a fuse holder is, lol. I guess it holds all the fuses? I'm googling it right now. I know what a fuse does at least. I'm guessing I can't just tap the wire... Also, do you have any tips for removing the window crank besides just using a flat head? Is the clip on the side of the crank handle or opposite? I'm having a hell of a time getting that bugger off.

Edit: After some research I think that a fuse holder should go between whatever is being installed and the power source to act as a fuse, correct? So I would tap the wire and have the fuse holder in between the white wire you told me about and the wire for the power supply of my locks, correct?

Alright, thanks for the help. I got the fuse holder installed between the battery and power for the remote signal receiver. The amp fuse should be the same as the maximum rating of the cable that is coming from the receiver right? For example, the receiver is rated up to 15 amps so I should put a 15 amp fuse in the fuse holder right?

I just decided to go for the battery because I was scared to do the fuse thing because I'm an idiot. So I did it the hard way and ran the wire through the grommet near the accelerator pedal. I did use the bolt you told me to using for grounding however, thank you.

I finally got the window crank off as well.

Looking good....
