Rear bench seats

Would i be able to remove the rear bench seats and replace it with two front seat rails and bucket seats?

No, because the bench part is a very thin foam cushion over the hump in the body that accomodates the fuel tank. (I think...I know that's how you get at the fuel pump.) If you pop off the seat itself, the molding rise runs the entire width of the body and almost all of the 'height' of the seat portion.

If you take out the seats you will see that they sit on a little ledge. Unless you do some heavy modifications, you won't be able to, as it is some people who sit on my back seats already hit their heads on the ceiling. I don't think this would work.

If you have a lot of time, money, patience and the skills of an expert fabricator you might be able to get it to work.

Anythings possibly with money and skill.

My only question is why, maybe a re-run of Pimp my Ride came on?

Its not a bad idea in some cars, like maybe one thats tracked and you like having friends with you, if allowed at your local track.

You might be able to get away with it if you were able to get some VERY shallow-bottomed buckets and frame rails that would mount more or less flush with their bottom surface. The rest of the bucket would have to either be sawed off or be not much vertically higher than the existing bench back.

I've seen cars with bench seats that are contoured like bucket seats, complete with headrests that extend upward past the normal line, something like that might be a lot easier to retrofit than trying to drill into / weld onto that fuel tank area.

I don't know what you'd do about the opening into the trunk (did cars without the 60/40 folding rear seat option have an opening from the trunk into the passenger compartment at all?) or how you'd manage to attach
