Are there any tips on this one, from previous ppl. here that have done it. Sometimes, the Haynes manual as good as it is, is lacking.
I am also considering replacing my own timing belt but that one look real challenging. I have rebuilt the front suspension of my car but nothing major engine related.
Is timing belt tough or am I overly concerned?

Fuel pump: you won't have problem specially if you have small hands

you need your wrenches&ratchet and suckets and e
xtensions Use your floor jack and stands and take out the tire. life will be much easier. I unscrewed from top( two bolts) then bottom. I remember I was thinking maybe it was better doing first bottom than upper horizental bolts. There are seals ( or just one washer i don't remember exactly) don't forget them. I didn't pay attention and didn'treplace that, it comes with new filter.
timing belt; No idea I have not done myself
good luck
