Wiring for a 3rd Brake Light on Spoiler

I have a 95 Corolla and I am installing a Spoiler with a brake light on it. There are two wires on the spoiler (Green and Black) Then there are 3 wires on the brake tail light socket I (Green White, Green, and white black) I am wiring it to the black socket brake light. I have it currently wired Green on spoiler to green on tail light and black on spoiler to green white on the tail lights. When the car is off and I press the brake it works when the car is on all the lights work but the spoiler brake light. What am I doing wrong?

You can also just measure the three wires from the breaklights and check which one gives a positive current with and without the engine running... (in case one gives positive with and another one without the engine running use a diode and link 'em) wire that one to one of the poles of the spoiler and the other to ground. For negative do the opposite of course...

I wired mine from the third brake light but not quite sure if I had 3 wires to 2. I thought mine was 2 to 2.
