The sound is coming from the front drivers side. i changed both front bearings, all motormounts, changed pass side cv shaft, did drivers side but id made no differance so i took it back. i dont really know where to go from here any help is apreciated.

Shaking at a specific speed really sounds like just an unbalanced tire. Try swapping the wheels front to back. If that helps, have your tires balanced. As for bearings it could be inside the transmission. Not sure how likely that is, trannys are rather solid on these cars.

^^^Yep, what he said. That was my problem when my steering wheel became very wobbly at certain speeds.

I had the same problem with my corolla when driving over 60mph. I would get on the interstate and you could barely hold on to the steering wheel at 70+mph. The front driver side tire was way out of balance. I had it balanced and it ran smooth as silk.

this shouldnt be so hard. Since you have ruled out tires being the culprit its worn parts of your front end. These are OLD CARS! Parts wear out. You should have the skills to get under your car and feel around to find out whats wrong. I realize you dont want to throw money away but ANY new part will be an improvement. common parts failing to cause vibration are: Axles, tie rod ends (inner AND outer) bearings, ball joints, and control arm bushings. Struts usually dont have a vibration symptom.

Get under your car and find out whats the problem. If you cant find it get someone else to. A GOOD alignment shop finds those worn parts easily and can show you. Sorry, but typically chain stores do NOT have the skills. Get out there and safely inspect your cars.

I have visually inspected as best I can from the driveway. I think I have fixed it for the most part. It had mini cooper wheels on it when I got it and aftermarket lug nuts, I put oem lug nuts back on the stock wheels and it almost gone except a little vibration from tires being unbalanced.
