Was looking around at a local car dealer, and they have a '97 DX fully loaded, with what looked to me to be an OEM glass sunroof... Were these an option? Every 7th gen I've seen with one is solid metal, color keyed to the car. Thinking about picking this bad boy up this weekend to replace my poor '97 CE, which at 212,000 miles is slowly starting to need more repairs than I'm willing to handle.

Giving this a bump... looked at the pics on their website, and the sunroof DEFINITELY looks OEM... were these rare? Like I said, I've olny ever seen the solid ones on the 7th gens before.

The only sunroof style listed in the sales brochures are the color keyed ones. Also, an OEM glass sunroof will generally have a retractable shade inside on the roof. I have seen a few Corollas with glass sunroofs, but they seemed inconsistent as far as installation goes. It seems to me that Toyota never offered a glass sunroof for the 7th gen Corolla.

That's what I thought, too. I want to avoid an aftermarket sunroof, because they have a bad tendency to leak. Thanks for the info!
