gen 7 My XLi to GTSi+ project

Thought I might as well post my progress all in one thread

As mentioned in my intro I bought my car as an XLi, which means no options whatsoever... I always thought I'd buy my first car with loads of option, however the funding at the time wouldn't allow this dream to come true.

So how I bought it:

The mods:

Exterior
[x] New rims (no 16s, will be needing a new pair since these are damaged)
[x] Exchanged the bumper with other ones (in color from the junkyard, just need to have 'em painted again)
[x] Foglights (OEM option)
[x] HID 6000k bulbs for the foglights
[x] Put down the rear wiper
[x] Lexus look taillights (black version)
[x] Temporarily installed the OEM GTSi front lip (untill the FOHA set is ready)
[> ] Make a logo free grille
[> ] Re-model the USDM grille (logo free and it needs half an inch)
[> ] Rear wing (got it, just needs to be painted and fitted, GTSi+ version with integrated breaklight)
[> ] Sideskirts (got 'em, just need to paint/fit 'em, by FOHA)
[> ] Rear and front lip (got 'em, just need to paint/fit 'em, by FOHA)
[> ] Japstyle front bumper (needs some repairs and painting)
[> ] Japstyle rear bumper (needs to be painted)
[> ] Japstyle sideskirts (got 'em, just need to paint/fit 'em)
[> ] Angel Eyes projector headlights with HID 6000k bulbs (got the headlights, just need to fit HIDs in 'em)
[ ] HID 6000k conversion for the OEM lights
[ ] FX-R retrofit 5000k projectors for the black housing headlights (already have the housings)

Interior
[x] Installed the GTSi interior wiring loom (had to remove the whole dash)
[x] Installed GTSi gauge cluster (with rpm gauge)
[x] Installed central locking switch (in the panel next to the steering wheel)
[x] Installed dashlights dimmer switch (in the panel next to the steering wheel)
[x] Installed Center piece with dual compartment armrest (JDM OEM option)
[x] Installed BMW E39 rearview mirror (with auto dim)
[x] Installed a custom Ford Focus gearknob
[x] Installed drivers side floorwell light (JDM OEM option)
[x] Installed keyring light (JDM OEM option)
[x] AirFantasy (JDM Ultra rare OEM option)
[x] Alpine NVE-N099P
[> ] Modify the sunvisor in order to fit next to the new rearview mirror (almost done)
[> ] Alpine TME-M770 (temporarily installed this screen for the NVE-N099P)
[> ] Alpine TME-M780 fitted for the passenger (already have the screen)
[> ] Alpine HU (will be needing a 2DIN, but not now)
[> ] Alpine Sub 10" (will be replacing this one with a newer one -> SWR-1043d)
[ ] Alpine SPR-60C (composet)
[ ] Avensis T27 steering wheel with stalk controls
[ ] Install a new leather gaiter

Engine / Other mechanical stuff
[x] Installed power windows
[x] Installed power mirrors (non-folding)
[x] Installed central locking
[x] Installed a class 2 alarm
[x] Installed power steering
[> ] Install power mirror (folding JDM, have 'em just need to figure out the wiring)
[> ] Open Air Filter (need to make it a CAI and attach an HKS filter)
[ ] Install a Blacktop (4AGE)

And I probably forgot a few things..

Will be adding more along the road, but have done alot since so have to organize the pics...

I like the 3 door hatch. Not an option in the states. I wish I had that front bumper, also not available in the states

And for the central locking, power mirrors/windows I had to replace the interior wiring loom

First clear out:

And reinstall...

Clear the doors and replace the mechanisms

Get some painted bumpers from the junkyard

Add the chrome rings to the cluster

And ofcourse add some switches (power mirrors, central locking and the dimmer)

Thanks! I'm not selling my bumper, but this type is readily available in NL, however shipping it drives up the costs enormously...

Thanks I'm now looking for a rear-disk conversion... However I don't just wanna bolt it on... I'm thinking about revising the entire hubs and repaint 'em, so it looks like new!
