Sounds exactly like engine pinging or knocking but only when turning left and I have no clue whe to begin. Also it doesn't have to be under load I can coast and it will do it making me scratch my head.

It's a 1.6L with the 3 spd auto. (don't be jealous)

Does it sound like it's coming from the driver wheel area? I'd suspect a bad outer CV joint.

That sounds much more logical. I guess I just didn't know they could "ping". I'm definitely familiar with the "click" when turning, but not the ping.

I'll give it a test tonight & see if I can focus the point of origin. Then I gotta decide if I really wanna throw any more money at the poor baby.
