Unhappy Not starting..hear clicking.."abs active" and "brake" light flashing

Hey guys so I hope someone can help me.

So its a 95 geo prizm 1.6 4afe with 106k...last night I went to start it it and it only clicked and the white "abs active" and "brake" light were flashing

side note: the yellow abs light has been on for the past 6 months...i figured it was a wheel speed sensor since it would only come on when the car started to move...i havent had the money to replace the sensor yet though. the car would brake fine though

also the battery and alternator were going...i was waiting for my check next month to replace them but it looks like I'll be eating top ramen for awhile now. ^*&^#(!

I found this on the web..similar problem but not totally
http://en.allexperts.com/q/Toyota-Re...Electrical.htm

I'm gonna check the grounds under the dash but from there im not sure...IM TERRIBLE WITH ELECTRICAL!

thanks for any input!

Does your horn work and lights work? If not, definitely bad battery.

If they do work and you only hear a single click, it's either a low battery or the starter solenoid contacts need to be replaced. You can buy replacement contacts for $25, but it's a good 2 hours to pull the starter out and refurbish it.

Thumbs up

Turns out it was just the alternator and I replaced the battery too since it was a million years old. I never had a dead battery that made the instrument cluster flash lights at me before. Theres a first time for everything I guess . Thanks for your help guys.
