Hello guys! A while back i was going to do the clutch myself, since the throw out bearing is bad. The car is on stands for a long time and i never have time to fix it.

The progress was axles out, on stands, U clips stuck...Recently i asked my friend to help me do it and i will pay him for doing it. He told me the bolts for cross-members are way too rusted that he afraid that will snap the bolts. He recommend me to send it to a shop because they got proper tools to tap those things out if they do broke off.

Now, here is my question. How much does a clutch job usually cost? Mechanics charge 60-75 an hour here. I got the clutch kit already, so they dont have to buy the parts. Only labor for them. Anyone have an idea? its 94 corolla 1.6L manual.

No idea on prices. It varies by region.

You dont have to drop the crossmember to remove the trans.

I used some wood to prop the engine on the crossmember.

Exedy is the best clutch kit I have found to date.

What u-clips are you talking about? SHifter cable??
