Where Can I Buy Window Belt Molding Clips?

Hey guys. I have a 96 Corolla DX. I gave it away for a fresh paint job today, getting a good deal in exchange for doing prep myself. I took apart the doors completely, removing all internal and external trim. While taking off the belt moldings under each window, I snapped a few clips (seems fairly inevitable), thinking it'll be easy to find them. Not so, as I can't find the proper ones anywhere.

They have a top that looks like snake fangs (two sharp sticks) and a bottom with two sicks and a long clip.

This is how the top looks (center part): http://shop.autodiscountfasteners.co...&categoryId=20

This is somewhat how the bottom looks: http://shop.autodiscountfasteners.co...&categoryId=20

I have no clue where to get these. I might ask the body shop for some, but I thought I'd ask you guys first. Thanks!

EDIT: A local dealership gave me the part number: 68211-12160

Because they're the wrong clips... I posted the links to show how each side of the clip I need looks. Hopefully someone can provide some info on where to get the proper clips that hold the belt molding to the door.

I could try doing that, but that would require me going during a work day and taking my mothers car on her work day... I was hoping they would be sold in the internet but I can't seem to find them anywhere

Grab a phone and talk to your local dealership parts guy. If they can't find a diagram and a part number, call the next dealership in the area.

I only had to go through two Houston dealerships before I found the part number for the clips that hold the lock and door rods together on my TE72. With a little patience you'd be surprised what's still in the system that they can order.

Here's my little tip for hard-to-find parts:

1. Go to one of the online dealers (toyotapartszone.com is great for locating parts).
2. Type in your VIN to ensure the parts search will only match on parts that fit your vehicle
3. Find the general area you're looking for (i.e. BODY - FRONT DOOR)
5. Now here's where it will be hard to figure out what the right part is, because you won't have any images. Fear not - copy a part number you want to "guess" about, and do a google search on that part number. Now instead of displaying the "web" results, flip to the "image" results. If you're lucky you will now see several parts diagrams showing the picture of the part and where it fits.

Hope this helps.

Thanks for the advice, I'll try that out today! I'll find my VIN on the registration when the other car is home.

Took your advice, called the closest dealership. They gave me the part number! I'll list it in the OP in case someone ever needs it. Thanks man!
