How do you reach the coolant temp. sensor!? 98 Corolla...

I need to replace the coolant sensor, but it's hard to reach. Does anyone know if a special tool is needed? This is a 98 Corolla 1.8 liter

i'm pretty sure its a 12mm socket, and a 14mm socket to remove the alternator,

Youll need to remove the serpentine belt first of course for which you need to move the tensioner . On my corolla I needed an allen key to do that with. Next youll need the proper socket to fit over the temp sensor/switch.... remove the sensor and replace with the new one.
