Electrical (?) problem on 2000 Corolla

Ok, so lately I encountered a problem on the 2000 Corolla. I was installing my passenger side airbag (which was really simple btw) and I had to unplug the battery so the horn wouldn't go off. After successfully installing the bag, I had to re-connect the battery. While I was screwing on the center metal thing that holds the battery down, I accidently made contact with the positive sign and it sparked. Luckily, nothing blew up and I was perfectly fine.

I started the car and it started like normal, I drove it work and the trip was fine. However, on the way back home, I noticed the battery symbol lit up. I made it back home and now everytime I start the car, the battery indicator lights up. I had my battery tested and it was perfectly fine. I replaced one of the fuses and it still lights up. I was under the impression that now my alterator's messed up but my friend who works at Kregen's said that if my alternator was messed up, I wouldn't have even made it home.

You might need to do a hard clear. You can bring it to a smog shop where they have the tool to clear hard codes.
