99 Corolla power steering problem

Daughter's 99 Corolla is making a grinding noise when the car turns hard (like into a parking space).

A little history... new power steering pump installed 4 days ago. It was making a loud clicking noise, but there was no grinding noise.

Now, this new problem. I plan on returning it to the repair shop. What should I expect them to do?

So tired of being taken advantage of. Any advise is appreciated.

Don't let them overtighten the belt.

Check the power steering pump belt's condition. Check it to see if it is properly tightened, I suggest the 1inch ruler method, it is cheap and affective enough.

Watch them work, if they don't let you watch, go to another service shop.
