02 Corolla suspension noise

I have a 2002 Corolla (stock) that makes a creaking sound when the front suspension is compressed. It only happens when there is a larger amount of compression like when I hit the concrete drainage gutter bettween my driveway and the street. It sounds like an old staircase
or floorboard. I'm guessing bushings??

My 2001 does the same thing! I've been wondering about it for quite some time, but I don't know what causes it.

I'm wondering if squirting dishwashing soap on and around the bushing would help. the bushings probably needs to be greased.

For installing they recommend using vegetable oil to lube it.

LOL I never noticed how old the original post was. I'm guessing they went somewhere else for help since they only have one post. Oh well, maybe the info will help others.
