2000 Corolla - Rubber Peeling

Hi Guys,

The rubber coating on the bottom edge of the windows (all 4 doors - outside) has started to chip/flake off. One of them has the rubber almost totally peeled off. I was going to simply pull all the coating off, but that won't work since the piece up against the window is part of the rubber. I tried some liquid coating, but that peeled off after a few months and looked awful. Any ideas or advice? Has anyone experienced this?

Thanks!

This happened to me on all 4 windows after a few particularly hot GA summers, I think they basically melted on mine. I used a razor blade to remove the peeled part, but I haven't been able to find a way to replace it.

Certain stores sell replacements. I'm sure the dealer carries it or knows where to get it. Try ebay.

I have the same problem as well. I just gave my car a new paint job and the body color is black so perfect window rubber is definitely needed. Anyone have a specific location where to get a very good deal on this, plus how exactly to put it on? by yourself? let a prof do it for you? List me the relevant prices
