exhaust camshaft timing mark

Hi, I took my engine out yesterday for the rebuild and today I'm taking it apart. After I took the timing chain off I saw that the exhaust timing gear has 3 marks on it. 2 dots on opposite ends. one with "IN" marked beside it, one with "EX" marked beside it, and the third dot marked equal distance between the 2. Does anyone know which dot I should hook the #67 link on the timing chain to?

The intake assembly only has 1 dot, the 3 dots on the exhaust gear confuses me.

Thanks in advance.

According to the FSM - the #67 link mark should line up with the double dot mark on the exhaust side. The intake's single dot mark should then line up with the #53 link mark.

the 3 dots are on the same timing gear

also, another problem...I was taking the head off and 1 head bolt stripped...I can still get the hex head in, but it's not tight enough for me to remove it. Anyone know where I can have this bolt drilled out? and how much would it cost?

So there is not a mark with two dots sitting right next to each other, close together?

Well initially, you should set cylinder #1 to TDC/compression by lining up the single doto n the intake with the dot with EX next to it on the exhaust side. They should be set to sit in the same horizontal plane, dots as close as possible.
