I'd say either a locksmith or removing the rear seats to access the trunk lock. I'll see about looking at my girlfriends trunk lock later unless someone else has any help.

do you have multiple keys?

the valet keys typically don't open the trunk

is the key slot sitting vertical or horizontal?

Search for something like "replacing folding rear seats". I know there's a good tutorial with pics in that subject.

Sure the lock is messed up? Maybe the release cable snapped?

I searched for "mod rear seats" in the 8th gen forum and got a thread that had this link: http://trdforums.com/forum/showthread.php?t=32463

and "replace rear seats" came up with: Installing Folding Rear Seats in my Corolla VE

Did it have a previous owner? If so maybe they swapped out the split seat and who knows what else they wanted to go in a replacement CE corolla. If you've always had the car then thats definitely the first Ive ever heard of a non split seat in a LE.

I did suspect you may have had the split seats and just werent seeing the gap since that was so unheard of on a LE. I didnt want to come off like a arrogant douche knocker saying you were probably overlooking it though. lol

I knew you'd discover it when you were able to. Would have been funny to see your and the locksmith's reactions to the porn if he'd been the first to open it up. lol

Wait, I'm confused. You didn't know you had all that in the trunk? Did you forget about it? Or did you buy the car without ever looking in the trunk?
