Where is the trunk light bulb?

Hey guys, I have a 99 VE, I checked online and it seems like the trunk bulb is a 194, I have a extra 194 LED lying around from my previous project on my other vehicle, So today I attempted to go put it in, But was unable to find where this trunk bulb is becuase mine has been out for years and I never even knew there was on until I looked it up. Anyways if anyone can point me in the right direction and tell me where in the trunk this bulb is located or a pic or something would help.

It's in the middle of the ceiling of trunk, very close to the third brake light. There is a clip on bulb holder that looks like a basket. Pry open the clip with your hand to swing that "basket" open and there's your bulb. Squeeze the two little tabs on that thing to pull it down if that makes it easier.

Tried to pull my bulb out awhile back. Hard to get out. Couldnt do it with my fingers so used pliers with rubber matting so they wouldnt slip and still wouldnt come out. Was afraid to squeeze harder and crush the bulb so just left it in there and snapped the cover back in place.

Any tricks to get the bulb out without breaking it? Worst case I'll break it then grab the metal connection with pliers to pull it out, if it even has one that is, then clean the mess.

A piece of electrical tape works wonders. Take a length, tape the ends to the bulb, and pull on the tape.

Good idea. As hard as I was pulling with the pliers it would pull the tape in half though the bulb is in there that good unfortunately. I'll probably just have to bust the bulb and yank it out by the roots. lol
