daytime running lights question

So i put in the HID kit but when the DRL comes on, the lights flicker. So I'm thinking of Instead of them working on the Low-Beams, How about rewiring them to Work on the High-Beams instead, but im thinking of how i would get it to work, Lows will turn on as DRL and then turn on when you turn on the lights, Im thinking that when i rewire them to the highs, when i turn on my lights the Highs will come on, so thinking of ways to get around this, any ideas guys???

Disable the DRL. They'll shorten the life of your HID.

I did exactly that, but that's a major undertaking. Give me a shout if you want more details.

Another option is to route DRL to the fogs. But if you want to actually retro a controllable factory fogs, that's no small job either.
