01 Corolla CE speaker sizes and options etc

What the front and rear speaker sizes for the Corolla CE? If the rear comes stock with 5 and 1/4" holes, can I mod to fit 6.5" without destroying the car? Any idea's in general for replacement speakers? I am not fond of the front door panel speaker placement and grille. I suppose I could get a mid-range with a separate outboard tweeter?

My Pioneer 6.5" speakers fit just perfecting in the rear deck using the original brackets. Fronts are same, just a little off on the depth so I had to do a little modifying...

Check with Crutchfield.com, they'll tell you what fits.

Gotcha. I could have sworn they would be 5 and 1/4" speakers, but...if they are in fact 6.5" then so much the better. I also need to chose a new deck too.
