15" rims offset

I found a set of rims on craigslist for a good price, they are 15x7 with an offset of +45, my question is the offset too high? I know most of you guys are running 40s, is 5 mm that much of a difference?

Yeah sounds high, I'm running 35mm offset.
45mm offset is the one you get in the stock 5.5" wide rims.

That's a bit too high considering the width of the wheels.

You'll probably end up rubbing the suspension.

that's quite a drag.

while we're on the subject, is an offset of 40 good for 17" rims too? will it rub indefinitely without rolling the fenders?

Depends on the width.

They can either make or break the fitment.

i picked up a set of tein htech springs the other day. That means my car will be lowered only 1.2 inches in the front. Will 17" x 6.5 rims with an offset of 40 rub?

I'm thinking 15" might be a little small and 16" is hard to find and the tires cost more. so it's either 15 or 17.
