Green Leds on radio

Im trying to change up the interior, So far I've got on my list

2 - 74 bulbs for A/c Controls
3 - 194 Leds for speed/gas gauges
3175 - 48 Led dome light

I need

1 - 74 for shifter light (How do I access it?)
1 - Ignition ring light (How do I access it?)

and last but not least radio has leds from what ive read. They are soldered also. Anyone have any info on how many I need and what size and how easy or hard this job is?

Thanks,
Vik

This is one way to replace th e shifter bulb. http://picasaweb.google.com/gaj1967/...ementTutorial#

Another way is to remove both the front and back center console but I heard that's a pain. Actually, either way is a pain.

To get the steering wheel one, you have to completely rotate your steering wheel one way, remove screw behind steering wheel, then turn it the other way to remove the other screw. Then remove one screw under your steering wheel.

Nah, 1/4 turn each way will do.

I've never taken the radio apart but if it's built like some old factory radios it'll be a pain. Old radios in Chevy's and Ford's were HUGE and built like they were designed to be in military applications. No wonder they overcharge for them. lol

I'd rather look for a replacement that has more features like MP3, USB, iPod, etc. I'm sure there's at least one model with white LED's.

Did you change the LED's in the A/C controls? Cig. lighter? Ash tray?

So far I did the speedometers 3 leds and the dome. I dont know if I want to do the rest if I am still gonna have green in the radio. and I dont want to upgade it becuase I like to keep things looking stock, This is my daily driver and I have a maxima that I do all kinda fun stuff to, which is why I had some leds left over that I decided to throw in here to see how they look and I figured I could finish it up and if and when I sell the car I can remove it and put normal bulbs in
