Nokya headlight bulb upgrade, 2002 Corolla LE

Alright, so I'm new to this forum, just joined today, so i'm trying it out.
I just bought some Nokya Arctic White 9006/9005 headlight bulb upgrades for my car (a 2002 Toyota Corolla LE) and I have heard rumors about these bulbs burning the stock wiring harnesses. I was wondering if anyone had had any experience with this, and if i should replace the harnesses as a protective measure, or wait until (if) they blow?
thanks a lot!

Is your bulbs rated higher than the usual 55/65 watts? The headlights should be fused for 15A each, meaning about 180W max. Stock headlight wires are about 18 gauge which should be enough for this. Even the HID retrofit harness I bought for testing is 18-gauge and they are supposed to take the 15A startup current the ballasts draw. So the bulbs would probably burn out before your wiring would melt.

You're correct, the bulbs are only a 55 watt draw. I've had them on and tried them out, and the wires did not melt, or even get hot, so i'm confident that i shouldn't have any issues from here on.
Thanks for the help!
