Smile Just bought a 99 Corolla (w/ pics)

So I just bought a 1999 Corolla VE today. 36k miles, Manual Trans. As clean and new as I could have ever dreamed.
I also am new to the forums. So Hello!
I'm not going to do much to her. I'll put a deck in, and I have some older 10" subs I'll put in the trunk. Disable the DRL. Upgrade the Bulbs. I also bought a thule rack with 2 bike racks and a huge box for it(369 feet, 58" bars, 2 sidearms, atlantis 1200). Down the line I'll get her off the steelies and onto some nicer shoes.

Few questions:
The Clutch is very springy. it takes a lot to push it down all the way. Is that just because I need to break it in more, or is there a way to loosen it up?

Its a 10 year old car. with less than 40k on it. any fluids/things to look at more closely?

There is the tiniest bit of rust. Best/cheapest way to get rid of it?

Thanks. I've already learned a ton here.

Dax

looks good, watch out for oil consumption/burning issues.

Nice ride. I have the same one, but mines a CE model. Nice ride, superb handling (well mine does...with no mods either), great engine apart from the oil burning at high speeds and hard acceleration, only one bad thing i can say about this car honestly.... Not much room in the back seat...lol
