Any brighter bulbs available for reverse lights?

I'd like to put brighter bulbs in the reverse lights if any are available without modding required. It's hard to see when backing out of the long narrow driveway at night, especially with the tinted windows.

I want to put the widest angle, brightest LEDs in that spot. Or perhaps it's time to hack in a dozen super bright white LEDs into the lens.

Or it's time to set up a back up camera.

Does anyone know a specific halogen, hid or led to consider? I have no idea how to even look for or compare them since I dont know what will fit in the reverse lights.

I noticed that mine are kinda dim, so I replaced them with new buls from AutoZone. They'rejust regular light bulbs, but blue instead of clear. When they light up, it is more of a truer looking white light, instead of the previous dirty yellow. A bit brighter too. Also what you could do is just ride your brakes a little bit. Everything will be red, but it helps a lot.

I usually try to figure out what part at superbrightleds.com matches the bulb I'm replacing.

Don't forget to upgrade the third brake light on the rear deck too, if you're going to upgrade the others.

Brake lights dont help me unless on moonlit nights. Otherwise it's too dark out at my place.

Thanks zuzu.

I have the same problem. I tried a couple of "brighter" bulbs and they really did not improve visibility. I have thought of adding a small fog/spot light under the bumper or next to the plate area and wiring it to the reverse lights. Just an idea. Bingo

Buurin you ought to post before and after pics of the lights at night so we can see the difference it makes on the car. I dont want my brake lights brighter though, just my reverse lights if I can get away with it.

Bingo what specific bulbs did you try? That way I'll know not to buy them.

Sorry I don't remember. I do know that I tried the Sylvania ones and they did not improve that much. I think part of it is the lens. I still think I'm going to mount a small fog/spot light. Bingo
