Hi fellow Toyota owners, i would like to know what type of bulb i need for a 6000k HID lights, and what other materials i need with it. Thanks A LOT!!!!!
Not sure what you are asking for in this post. Looking for the bulb for your existing setup or looking to convert to a HID system?
Short answer - to do it right, will take more that just the bulb, ballast/igniter, and wiring harness. You also need to retro a projector to properly focus the light generated by a HID bulb as well as use an appropriate shield or cut-off plate.
There is a lot of information out there that discusses the pros/cons of HID lighting retrofitting on our cars. Kits will range from simple bulb replacement (not legal lighting in many areas) to complete retrofits (new lamp assemblies with complete projectors that bolt onto the car). Prices go from $70 for the bulb/cheap ballasts ones to well over $500 for the complete retrofits with higher quality ballasts.
However, I would take fishexpo101's advice and do a proper retrofit with OEM HID Projectors to ensure that you don't blind other people on the road. I've been the victim of being blinded by numerous PnP HID kits of too many vehicles in Ontario.

6000K is garbage too, the best light output comes from 4100K-4300K bulbs

So who sells an honest-to-God conversion kit for the 8-gen, complete with projectors?
Seen some potential ones on E-Bay (Depo parts that have been baked open, refitted, and resold). Have yet to see one in person that you didn't need to modify in some shape or manner - especially from a reputable manufacturer/source (someone that will warranty the work). They're probably out there, just haven't run across them yet. Only viable option is to fabricate your own - like Buurin did.
